HEDGE

Also known as Osage Orange, Hedge is a very stable wood that effectively resists temperature and humidity changes which makes it a good wood choice for duck calls. It also has a low modulus of elasticity compared to its weight and why it is also sometimes used for archery bows.

BOCOTE

Comparable in stiffness and strength to Hard Maple, Bocote is an eye-catching wood with zebra-like contrasts. In addition to being a good wood choice for duck calls, it is also used for making fine furniture, musical instruments and gunstocks.

AFRICAN BLACKWOOD

Also known as Ebony, African Blackwood, as its name suggests, comes from Africa and is a very stable wood that is highly resistant to warping. It is one of the most dense woods in the world and when polished, has an extremely smooth and lustrous feel. These qualities make it a great wood for duck calls.
